Living beings need support to grow.

As living creatures, we are always resting in a myriad of relationships that offer support for our wellbeing. The warmth of our bodies comes from the fire of the sun; we breathe along with the abundant plant life on our shared planet; our bodies are nourished and sustained by drinking water and eating plants and animals. We humans, like other mammals, are hardwired to develop through social engagement. It is only through relationships that we grow, develop, and change.

psychotherapy is a supportive relationship for growth

Psychotherapy offers a relationship of compassion and care, focused on supporting health, fostering healing, growth, and change.

At the center of psychotherapy is the fundamental healing power of actually showing up and being seen, and of being encouraged and challenged to see ourselves and sense into our experience, as it is unfolding, with honesty and kindness. A psychotherapist helps develop and bears witness to this brave honesty; she is a guide to the inner world, a companion in discovery, and a support for moving through suffering into a reconnection with life.

I wonder what brings You here.

What do you yearn for? What confusions need organizing and clearing? What tensions are bound up that need release and integration?

I wonder what needs to shift for you to feel at home in your body, in your being, and in the world of relationships?

Our lives are short and far too precious to spend feeling stuck.

As living beings, we all possess an inner movement towards health and healing. Getting unstuck takes willingness, exploration, and practice. I can help you chart a course into and through that terrain.

Many people come to therapy because they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or reactive. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, fear, depression, anger, loneliness, grief, despair, or shame.

I offer focus and creativity to help you grow, to support wellbeing and engagement with life.

I help people resolve the legacy of past painful and frightening experiences, so they can be present in life as it is unfolding now. I help people develop the awareness, compassion, and resilience to feel their worth as a living being and move in their lives with greater clarity, connection, and confidence. I help people shift relationship difficulties, so their interactions are more loving, intimate, pleasurable, and growth fostering.

Nourishing connection to self, community, and the natural world - these are foundational ingredients in our well being. I help people develop their health through this holistic lens.
