mentoring for healing arts practitioners

support to grow your skills, capacity, and creative wisdom

  • creativity

Deepen your skill in working with the creative arts in therapy: art, poetry, movement, play, song, music, writing, photography, and ecological arts.

  • Body

Learn how to work with the body in therapy, the profound resilience and healing that can unfold from including the body in the process of psychological growth.

  • Trauma Tending

Learn about the neuro-relational science of trauma and recovery, so that you can offer your clients skillful accompaniment for transformation.

  • Social Justice in Healing Work

Deepen your skills in social justice practice in healing arts work. Understand your own location within systems of power and learn to move with difference with greater respect, humility, curiosity, and suppleness. Grow your ability to disarm reactivity and more equitably navigate power dynamics in your practice.

  • deepening resilience

This work can be intense. The socio-political context we are living through is also intense. When the work is feeling exhausting or draining it can be an indicator that we need support to tend burnout, compassion fatigue, or vicarious trauma. It can be an indicator that we may need some support for our own resilience in the midst.

EAGLE POEM

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you
And know there is more
That you can't see, can't hear
Can't know except in moments
Steadly growing, and in languages
That aren't always sound but other
Circles of motion.
Like eagle that Sunday morning
Over Salt River. Circled in blue sky
In wind, swept our hearts clean
With sacred wings.
We see you, see ourselves and know
That we must take the utmost care
And kindness in all things.
Breathe in, knowing we are made of
All this, and breathe, knowing
We are truly blessed because we
Were born, and die soon within a
True circle of motion,
Like eagle rounding out the morning
Inside us.
We pray that it will be done
In beauty.
In beauty.
